Program Description:

Advancements in single-cell genomic methods, including spatially-resolved techniques, are transforming our understanding of biology. We are seeking exceptional students and graduates to work on the challenges and applications of these groundbreaking technologies, especially in the context of cancer immunology and immuno-modulation.

Whether your degree is in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or Mathematics, if you are passionate about working at the intersection of biology and computation, interested in functional genomics and thrive in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment, this could be the perfect PhD or PostDoc opportunity for you.

We currently have openings for qualified doctoral (funded PhD studies) and postdoctoral candidates in both computational and wet lab positions. To apply, please send your cover letter, CV, and contact information for at least two references to Dr. Marmar Moussa, Principal Investigator (marmar.moussa@ou.edu).

Our lab's research areas include:
• Machine/Deep Learning and Data Analytics,
• High Throughput Sequencing and Bioinformatics,
• Computational Genomics,
• Computational Biology, and
• Systems Immunology, or similar fields.

The ideal candidate has excellent English language skills, written and spoken, has research experience in undergraduate or graduate levels (e.g., publications or grant writing experience etc.) in similar research areas OR has hands-on wet lab experience or training in bio-laboratory technologies and immunological assays.

Requirements:
 * (PostDoc only) PhD degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline.
 * Research experience.
 * Experience in bioinformatics pipelines or analysis of sequencing data, such as RNA-seq or ATAC-seq or other is nice-to-have.
 * Proficiency in R. Knowledge of Python, as well as general proficiency with UNIX operating systems is strongly desired.

We are not accepting applications for this program through AcademicProgramsOnline.Org right now. Please see the program description above on how to apply.
