The focus of each position will be either nursing (clinical) and/or healthcare leadership/administration. These are full-time positions with a nine-month service period during the academic year. Initial appointment will be for a three-year term, eligible for reappointment after a successful second-year review. The successful candidate will be expected to teach and engage in service that demonstrates cultural responsiveness to diverse and underrepresented groups and populations. The successful candidate will be expected to teach and mentor adult students from socially minoritized and historically underrepresented populations, e.g., immigrants, gender identity/fluidity, race, culture, and ethnicity.

Positive factors for consideration include, but are not limited to: • Teaching experience in nursing education, nursing professional development, or related health professions education. • Experience working creatively and effectively with diverse individuals and groups. • Expertise in one or more of the following: disease prevention/health promotion, chronic disease care, restorative (acute) care, hospice/palliative care, community/population health, an advanced nursing specialty (indirect care), healthcare leadership/management, and/or health informatics/technology.

All faculty at the University of Washington engage in teaching, scholarship, and service within their school, the University, and their professional community. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in multiple modalities, including online, hybrid, and in-person, in an urban-serving campus environment. The successful candidate will teach upper-division and graduate courses required of majors, and lower-division courses emphasizing health and healthcare leadership topics.
