The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia invites applications for a PhD position. The successful candidate will join Dr. Alexander Soloviev’s start up program. Their research and training will focus on high-energy problems, including non-equilibrium dynamics, transport and phase transitions in relativistic field theories. The Mathematical Physics group in Ljubljana is very active and has a broad range of expertise, including quantum chaos, holography, and non-equilibrium and statistical physics. Close collaboration with the groups of Prof. Sašo Grozdanov and Prof. Tomaž Prosen is foreseen. Applicants must have a Master's degree in Physics (or equivalent) before the starting date and be strongly motivated to do research in the area mentioned above. The starting date is negotiable, but must begin by October 1st, 2026.
