Program Description

The Rothman research lab at Boston University Sargent College is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team on a multi-year project. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with investigators and community members to advance research that has real-world impact.

The Research Assistant will: 
  • Communicate via email and Zoom with autistic adult community members involved in research 
  • Manage Advisory Board member honoraria and payments.
  • Support Advisory Board activities, including preparing agendas, sending invitations, convening meetings, taking minutes, and disseminating meeting notes. 
  • Set up and manage REDCap databases for feedback survey and evaluation data collection. 
  • Analyze survey and evaluation data to inform project planning and reporting. 
  • Assist with recruitment of focus group participants, including managing participant payments. 
  • Transcribe focus group discussions and contribute to qualitative data analysis. 
  • Contribute to the project’s literature review activities. 
  • Assist with preparation of funder-related reports and deliverables. 
  • Designing dissemination distribution lists and dissemination products using CANVA 
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills. 
  • Experience with REDCap, data collection, and data analysis preferred. 
  • Experience with CANVA to design social media posts or graphics 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently. 
  • Experience with neurodivergent populations is preferred but not essential.
