Program Description

Two fully-funded PhD positions are available in the newly established Quantum Information and Thermodynamics group, led by Dominik Šafránek (https://www.dominiksafranek.com/) at Charles University in Prague. The project's primary focus is developing a novel method for quantum tomography, which is a diagnostic tool for all quantum technologies. There is also an opportunity for side projects in Quantum Thermodynamics.

The ideal applicant should have strong analytical or programming skills and an interest in working at the intersection of mathematics and physics with a focus on quantum technology. A creative mind, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and an interest in or knowledge of experimental platforms (such as trapped ions, photonic systems, etc.) are considered a plus.
