Program Description

The Institute for Theoretical Physics of the Albert Einstein Center for Fundamental Physics at the University of Bern expects to have several PhD positions available in the field of computational lattice QCD. The successful candidates will work under the supervision of Prof. Fernando Romero-Lopez and Prof. Urs Wenger with a focus on on computations in the context of g-2, code development and optimization for configuration generation and measurements of hadronic observables.

The start date will be early 2025.

Applicants must have a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics (obtained at least 1 month before the starting date) and a strong motivation to pursue an academic career in lattice QCD.

Priority will be given to applications submitted before 6 January 2025.
