The University of Amsterdam (UvA) and National Taiwan University (NTU) are looking for candidates for joint PhD program in Theoretical Physics. The successful candidate(s) will have the opportunity to spend time at both institutions and are expected to receive degrees from both institutes. Potential thesis topics include (but at not limited to) String Theory, Artificial Intelligence and Theoretical Physics, Mathematical Physics, Scattering Amplitudes, Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics. The student would be part of the Theoretical Physics Groups at the UvA and NTU. Both groups are led by world-leading researchers and provide a stimulating research and learning environment.

Requirements: An MSc. in Physics (or BSc in Physics with admission conditional on successful completion of the MSc degree) is required to be considered for this position. The candidate needs to possess excellent written and oral English communication skills.
